I Am Mourning the Loss of a True Friendship

One of my first few close friends on EP....and although our friendship is only 2 months old, I truly believed that this person is so genuine and felt a closeness that I never felt before. But looking back, I feel I should have acted more maturely and not taken anyone's words so seriously. I have learnt my lesson and hopefully it will show in my current and future interactions with my friends here on EP.

I do wish that things were as beautiful as they seem to be on the outside. But its a crooked world and everyone is here on their own....

I really appreciate my friends to be open and outspoken, and as honest as I am with them. How can one fake his feelings and things about himself, is beyond my understanding.

I have also been here without disclosing my identity but still there are a few things I cant do. That is, lie about who I am as a person. How can someone be so fake and act so genuine?

I just want to say one thing to those people, who feed on other peoples feelings and they know they are taking advantage of someones trust and friendship, that its a small world and its round! O
What you do to others will one day happen to you...and when it does, I hope you get it ten times worse than you deserved.
And please find someone fake enough to suit you, please spare us who are here to make true friends. It was nice knowing you or whoever it was, that you pretended to be!!! :'(

This can happen and I do see where your coming from. Sometimes others have their own very good reasons and feel they can't say the goodbyes and close the door... It's not necessarily personal, it's just their way of dealing with it all.

Well, I have been very patient with this particular individual in the past too. I understand and totally agree with you that everybody is different. But in this particular case, its more of a I-dont-care-a-hoot attitude that really annoyed me. He knows that I do care about him and a few of my very close friends here. So, its only intentional to ignore my concern for him. I feel, if a person is shy, then he is shy. But if a person acts like he cares, then he should at least respond with a 'Hey, I'm back!'...whether he wants to say goodbye or not, this is just a common courtesy that one should have.
