What goes away when you ignore it?

Will it ever go away? Did you have it check?

I know what it is - and I need a course of antibiotics to clear it up. I just can't be bothered to go through telephone triage at my surgery and tell the receptionist that the doctor says that I need antibiotics every time this happens.

The cyst is uncomfortable to sit on though... so I'm wearing sanitary pads to make it more comfortable.

@mindstruggle I should be used to it by now... It's been happening since I was a teenager.

I had no choice but to get one checked out four years ago when it grew in my underarm though. SW was concerned that it could be breast cancer. I finally got a diagnosis two weeks later. And it was a cyst.

Did they recommend to remove it instead?

@mindstruggle No... I was given antibiotics and it went away in a few days.

This one should be the same again - but I'm just going to wait it out until it clears by itself.

@mindstruggle It's gone down quite a bit now... I can sit without pain.

@mindstruggle I know that it doesn't seem like the perfect solution - but I'm thrilled with the improvement.

I was getting to the point where I was considering popping it just to ease the pain a couple of days ago.

Oh no. Don’t pop it. It may lead to infection if you do. Have you notified your doctor about it?

@mindstruggle No... I can't talk to a doctor since the beginning of the pandemic.

That's why I've had to suffer with the cysts instead of getting antibiotics to clear them up.
