A friend told me to try putting myself in someone's shoes for a while.

Because I told them I wanted to hang out. But they were tired.
But I only want to hang out when I don't want to be alone because I feel compelled to self harm when I'm alone. And yesterday was one of those days. I just wanted my friend's company. It would have made me feel a hundred times better. I didn't say anything of course, but it made me wonder if people even think it's ironic when they give unsolicited advice to others?

[c=BF0080]do they know you want to hang out because you feel like hurting yourself? [/c]

@AlchemyFox I wouldn't say that because it's like emotionally blackmailing someone to spend time with you.
