When people follow you on here

Some might, I guess. I don’t follow anyone or accept any requests if we’ve never spoken.

If someone I don't know follows me and has never bothered to interact with me, I block them as a follower. I always ask permission before I add someone. Sometimes they say no. 🤷‍♀️

I assume they like my content. I follow back the ones i enjoy talking to in comments. I dont go into my PMs often

I think they like your posts and want to see more of them.

I don't get that "follow" thing at all. I have literally hundreds of "followers" and I haven't the faintest idea what that could possibly imply. 😐
Anyway I never followed anyone.

I often wonder why people whom I've never interacted with follow me. I will usually send them a courteous PM thanking them - but pointing out that I seldom post publicly nowadays.

I don't know what others expect. But I don't generally follow anyone without previously having some interaction. And not nearly always even afterwards.

I do. I mean, it's up to them if they follow me back but if I follow someone it definitely doesn't mean I want to talk with them through PMs. It usually means I find them interesting and like their energy and the content they post.

I think I've come to discover that for a large swath of people, following means that they will never again interact with you aside from emoji reactions to your posts.

I'm not one to enjoy someone hearting everything I have posted on my profile.....then hit the follow button and expect me to interact....I don't think so. I find it quite stalkerish imo.....

If I notice someone posting interesting or funny content, I'll usually answer a few questions and see what they are like before I follow -

Most of them do have some kind of interaction. But if I haven't heard anything from them and a request just pops up I am a little wary

I don't think anyone who isn't a stalker expect anything. They like your posts they befriend you and see what happens.

The process has fundamentally changed. When someone follows now it does impact seeing the Posts of those they follow.

I dont press that button because I dont understand the point. Sounds kinda creepy though🤔

Most of the time. It depends on how they start the first one.

I think that is the expectation, though I never really get the whole follower thing because it does not change too much, you can still interact if thats what you want to do, regardless.

Usually I follow just whomever interests me. They can follow me back or not, I don’t care unless it’s a girl whose pics I want to see; if that’s the case I make sure to chat with them through their inbox.

No idea. But I just kind of wander through without giving it much thought.
