I Am Very Selective When It Comes to Letting People Get Close

I'm very quick to write people off. I can usually tell within the first five minutes of meeting someone if they're worth my time. It sounds awful and people keep telling me to stop doing that but to me, it's just easier than taking the time to get to know them and then find out I was right in the first place.
