I have some friends whose professions are offering, you know, sexual encounters for monetary compensation
2 of them used to be close, they were then invited to the US by one of their customers and they got their visas almost immediately granted to them because they were able to provide proof of income showing pretty generous figures. They don't speak English, they are high school dropouts and don't really have any skill other than selling their bodies.
I've known other friends who got their visas rejected, even though they are highly educated and capable individuals. Mind you, these people tried to get working visas so they could work for legit us based companies. The girls I'm telling you about, are working with tourist visas. Of course, because sex work is not very strictly regulated, they get away with it, but still.
What do you think of this?
I try and don't actually like to get political on here but apart from these two cases, I've heard of many similar ones, life is just very unfair.
