I have in the past but it’s been a huge mistake with very few exceptions so I don’t get close to anyone anymore.

It has never been an issue for me and I don't understand "online heartbreaks". I'm too paranoid to get emotionally invested in someone I can't be physically present with and observe them irl. Or I simply never met someone that would sweep me off my feet. I guess people don't provide enough data for me to attach to.

I used to get attached to people. Not easily but it happened.
I think for me it was because I felt that I needed that validation that came with that attachment.
I don't get attached easily to people and their words now.
