I Hate Losing Online Friends

If you are so closed with your online friends whom you talk with everyday, but somehow you are scared if one day you will stop talking to each other.what would you do?

Sometimes you strike a chord with a person online, however you can literally run out of things to discuss. Plus it's harder to read someones cues online than in real life. I have a very good online friend who I chat with almost every day. This has been going for 2 years now. However you learn when people are busy or upset and you need to take some time out. Just look for the hints.

@Laughman or maybe they just don't want to have anything to do with you haha

@SW-User ahhh yeah...not the result I'm hoping for haha

never really had a 'close' online friend personally but i'd say if you're that close with them just meet up or something.

@MarkPaul yeah got ya, fair enough. if it's all in text then meeting up wouldn't be the best option 😂

@JustJosh Well, I think you did it the right way... maybe this person should try that as her next step.
JustJosh · M
@MarkPaul yeah probably a good idea

Sigh that can happen anytime. One should enjoy while they're there and if you care about them keep in touch. But if they decide to leave don't try to stop them.. just.. accept it

I believe people are meant to come into our lives even if only briefly.

It's nice to see them online even though we don't talk privately anymore

I have this urge to change usernames
I get bored
and would delete a profile just to make another username
I "lost" many friends that way
it's not them, it's me
I figure, I'll see them online anyway and we'll interact anyway so it's not all bad

I've had that happen 2 me too. There was a young woman I was talking 2 on here, we had chatted back N forth 4 nearly 3 mos. then she disappeared w/o saying a word, like she fell off the face of the earth. When I genuinely want 2 B someone's friend, I don't leave them w/o an explanation.

@Adam1985 What I think you are missing is that online traditions and manners are not the same as "real" life. It's sad, yes. But, that's the way it is. And the sooner you realize that, the better off we all will be.

Keep talking...

I'm used to that I used to have a lot of online buddies but for one reason or another we lost touch so I tend to try not to get to close with people online even though at times it can't be helped
