Just asking for a friend.

There’s an ex that keeps stalking my gf on TikTok. I think it’s funny, it doesn’t bother me at all, and I think my gf also kinda enjoys the fact that her ex keeps stalking her, even tho she won’t admit it.

But the other day we got into a dramatic fight and she told me she unblocked her ex to tell her off ? And even asked her what was her problem, and if she was waiting for me and my girl to split to come swoop in again. And I guess the other girl said “maybe”

And I was like. Why would you go out of your way to unblock your ex and tell her off in the first place? Like any ex of mine can stalk me anytime and I won’t feel bothered enough to call them up and tell them off? I just find that weird. If someone wants to stalk me, as long as I’m left alone & not reached out to, I’m not bothered…

Anyway so I sounded annoyed, so my gf goes “babe I thought you would be happy to hear that I defended us? I was just defending us?!”

But there was nothing to defend? Her ex wasn’t messsaging her anymore, her ex was just looking. And I never felt threatened?

And I kept telling her there was really no reason to unblock her ex to just yell at her? And then she says “I just wanted someone to yell at that day, so I that”

Okay so now it goes from you’re defending us, to you just needed someone to yell at? Which is it?

Idk to me it just seems that she thought I was going to break up with her or something, so she panicked and called up her ex for some sort of validation and comfort. To know she was still wanted by someone maybe, I don’t know.

I need a second perspective right now cause I don’t trust myself these days. But am I right to feel weird about that?

Yeah I'd probably feel the same as you. Like why feel bothered enough that you gotta go & interact with the person when they weren't even talking to you in the first place?
Sounds to me like she kinda just wanted to confirm that her ex was still interested. The way I see it, there should be no business talking to exes even if it's to yell at them. Because if you're still able to waste energy & feelings over that person then I ain't with that 😐 I'm not gonna waste my energy along with y'all 😅

You're not wrong to feel weird. I mean it might not be "break up worthy" but it's definitely okay to feel how you feel & hopefully she can understand that
