Why can’t there be play dates for adults?

I’m at an age where making new friends seems awkward, and yet here we are. How do you go about making new friendships, and what do you hope to get out of them?

Online friendships are international now and can go global. But most come here with a closed mind that online is all fraud, scams and pervs. So compared to the initial online days, all I see now is distrust. So no friendship develops. A great medium heavily abused.

Making new friends is all about interest one takes in the other.
