Why can’t there be play dates for adults?
I’m at an age where making new friends seems awkward, and yet here we are. How do you go about making new friendships, and what do you hope to get out of them?

A great suggestions. In fact those singled in life must be able to come to a town, to make new friends and companions. Since I have been online right from the inception of Internet, making new friends online is what I am used to. I prefer this more than getting to know by meeting someone in person, as the insight we gain through online interaction, is incomparable and never happens. We just make our assumptions through their outlook and appearance.
