Why can’t there be play dates for adults?

I’m at an age where making new friends seems awkward, and yet here we are. How do you go about making new friendships, and what do you hope to get out of them?

Its simplest if you start with a common interest club. You dont think all these book clubs actuall take an interest in books, do you??😷
