How do you feel about Anthony Bourdain getting banned from your country? What did he do that earned him the boot?

@hlpflwthat What? I've never heard about him, dude

He's an American TV celebrity who travels the world tasting and experiencing foods of different nations and cultures.

And for what it's worth, the term 'dude' is pretty out-of-use in the 'English world' already. Used more as a means of disrespect than current slang.

Well, I searched on internet about him. And i can say that we banned him by following our country's rule (law). Because we don't allow any travels to Nagorno-Karbakh.

And what about the term dude. Most vbloggers use this term which i follow on instagram, or youtube so offently. I thought it's just a normal word as lad or friend.

I'm not offended - just trying to be helpful. Dude was a thing in the 80s & 90s. If you start in with a stranger by calling them dude, most adults would consider it disregard for manners at best, and plenty would consider it disrespect. I think perhaps among lads or friends it may be more popular or acceptable. I am neither(yet).

I only brought it up because you want to sharpen your English - which is pretty good I must say. But 'offently' is not a word - to my knowledge. 'Often' is the same as frequent, but often is never modified like frequent can be.

I'll be the first to say English is a fucked language to learn. Most of us are still learning. 😏

@hlpflwthat Really thank you for these imformations you gave.
yeah and I thank Eminem for my English)

No problem. Maybe pay little closer attention to someone using 'dude' and see for yourself if you think the speaker is being polite - or maybe a little bit just the opposite.

@hlpflwthat thank you.
