Why do you stay loyal to those who barely deserve it?

A friend asked me this once and I replied,
”Maybe that's the downside of being a loyal person. No matter how much this person drags me into the mud with them, I’m still going to stick by them no matter what.”

Yes because sometimes people who have done everything for you sometimes fall on hard times and change.

You don’t just bin someone off because the going gets tough.

For my family - Yes. I have rules though.

For friends - I have limits.

Also you have to only return loyalty for loyalty

It takes a lot for someone to lose me. If they have my loyalty they have to do something awful to lode it. Sometimes that means I get hurt. 🙋‍♀️

@Ksmile14 I’m the same way.

You have to draw the line somewhere.

Be careful with that .. there are some people who take advantage of nice people .. and won’t hesitate to leave you in the mud ..
SW-User
I don’t, I choose my peeps wisely.

@SW-User You’ll know what I’m talking about when the time comes.

@Menetics I already do know, but I refuse to let myself be used by other people so I have few friends.

im not staying loyal to them im staying loyal to myself. It's a lifestyle.

Thats just being pathetic. I notice a lot of people romanticize low self esteem by saying oh im "loyal" "i love hard" & "im too nice".
Menetics · 26-30, F
@Selah Lol, I don’t romanticize it. We need to acknowledge the dark side of a positive trait somehow.
