Red Letter Day

Those poor weather forecasters get so much flack for inaccuracy that I’m compelled to document the most accurate forecast I’ve ever seen. “Snow expected heaviest north of highway 14.” On a good day, I could probably throw a stone and hit highway 14, living along its north side. We got 16.5 inches of snow. The next town south, 8 miles away, got 6. Just this once they could have added “No lie!” 😂 I got such a kick outta that. I hope someone brought them donuts this morning. 😂😂

I’m truly amazed at how accurate they are. I’m also amazed at how with all our science and technology we are completely at the mercy of Mother Nature. We had more snow this winter than we have had in a while and every time they forecasted high totals my good friend did not believe it. I mean come on, they are looking at satellite photos. They know when a storm is coming and they are pretty good with knowing the temperature (how I have no idea). They nailed it this winter.
