Young women/girls have been powerfully sold on the fantasy that the man on the white horse is coming to rescue them. But I certainly hope they’ve come to realize that they need to rescue themselves, and in doing so gain strength and self confidence.

@OlderSometimesWiser I grew up on that fantasy. All a sham lol it's been hard to let go because I do see the possibility in a strong relationship. But it's something I don't let myself think about much anymore. It seems to be fading.
