Let me ruin your day

50 is not middle age. Approximately 35 to 40 is.

The average life expectancy for an average person is between 70 to 80 years age, very few people live to be 100.

All of us are structured to believe 50 is middle age. Because 50 is half than 100 & that half make sense. But in reality if you are in your 30s you are right at the tip or in the middle age. This is considering you actually live past 70.

If you take into context unforeseen passing like a car crash or numerous of other things, that number is significantly lower.

Working til you are 65 to retire is one of the biggest scams on the planet & those who realize, gets out before anyone else.

Life is shorter than you think, so stop putting off things until later.
Going on that trip later
Asking that person out later
Moving into new country later.

Welcome to reality
Enjoy your stay!!!

50 is where big changes come. That is why I think of it as middle age.

I don't think big changes come in 30's and 40's. I think it's more mild. 50 is where we start showing our age and start thinking about and preparing for death. @Darksideinthenight2

People do drop dead in their 40s and 50s. My great grandpa died of a heart attack in his 40s and my hub's uncle drop dead around 45. But people younger than that die as well. My cousin died of cancer in her 30s. @Darksideinthenight2
I've read that early middle age is between 35 to 44 and late middle age is between 45 to 65. I think it's about biology and how we age. @Darksideinthenight2
