This is true…I’ve always been lucky enough to have male friends

If they wanted more (which I doubt), they never accused me of "friend-zoning" them, which would actually have been something of a betrayal.

The whole "friend-zone" thing is something I never really thought about -- maybe it's generational? I mean, of course in a lifetime you meet someone you like as a friend but you;d also like a sexual relationship with, but if it isn't mutual all you can do is accept it -- no need to naming it "friend-zoning" or whatever, it's just life.
@ChipmunkErnie It is a relatively newer phenomenon, although people had other terms for the same idea.

@bijouxbroussard It's life -- I don't remember needing a term for it, even if it was a staple in old movies.
