Sunday Morning with Thorin
There outside my window
Amongst the barren trees
I see the tiny rabbit
That frolics through the leaves
My grandson sits beside me
He’s watching animals on tv
“Puppa” this and “Puppa” that
A thousand questions just for me
Later we’ll go playing
We’ll walk down to the park
Walking, Running, We’ll swing on swings
And we’ll be home before it’s dark
We’ll eat some lunch before we go
Today it’s chicken nuggets and some fries
As we wait for the clouds to clear
And the sun to light the sky
And when the day is over
I’ll dial up his mother
Who will then come here to get him
And bring him home to see his brothers
I’ve had him for the weekend
We had a lot of fun
But our time is not quite over yet
For today has just begun.
