Is it rude to ask someone if they're having a better morning?

If they mentioned having a grumpy one the day before?

I mean this person pretty much ignored my question then ignored me the rest of the day!

People are weird!

I thought it was nice remembering that they had a bad day the day before.

I ask people that too if they had a previous bad whatever.

@TeirdalinFirefall I thought It was fine but clearly he didn't find it a nice question to ask. i find him rather rude anyways.
I've only ever tried to be nice to him and others.
I guess you just can't please all of the people all of the time!
