Good Afternoon
It is the last day of our half term holiday. Back to college on Monday until the end of June and back to school until the end of July. Today in Dad's car it said 20 degrees! that's the first time this year we got in the 20s!
Yesterday I went to Talley Abbey in Carmarthenshire. I live in Carmarthenshire also but Talley is further north. The abbey was founded by a poor order of monks called the Premonstratensians. The order came from the north of France at a place called Premontre. Accents are so easy to include on an iPad! There are accute accents on the two e's! I have no idea how to do that in Google or if Google really cares!
It was a beautiful morning and I was there all morning sketching. I want to make clay models of the abbey and then make windows by enamelling precious metals like silver to restore it in my own way.
While I was there five children were playing. No sign of their parents! But Talley is like that. They were running across the stones of the abbey making up games. They said hello to me. And I thought how lovely. Not a computer game in sight! Like me and my sisters and my brother!
