I have a lot of connections in my past

My first eight years of life I had in Palermo, in the west of Sicily (Montelepre and Monreale) and I still consider Sicily as my home. My next eight years were spent in Napoli where my father was high up in the Carabinieri. Just as I completed secondary school my parents were given new roles in the national infrastructure and we moved to Rome.

Each place has a unique input to my personal history, my experience of life and society. There are cliques I got involved with and I still relate to despite my role in life now. I think this is true of everyone but many decide to remove from their lives what they are currently in disbelief of being involved with. I don’t.

It is good if you can keep in touch. But there is often a reason we can’t.

Don’t be locked in our past though. build on it and move on

Each place we live shape us and makes us who we are.
