° Read the posts and reply to them first before posting.

It gets you familiar with the site and the users.

° Use the forums more than your feed.

There are lots of users you will never see in your feed, that feeds never show. That happens on everyone's feed.

° Add as many groups as you possibly can. And mute any groups or whole categories, if you're not interested in them or just can't stand the group subject.

This will help with blocking certain types of users. What you don't see in your feed, you don't have to block. You are limited to 500 user blocks. Many women unfortunately use up all their blocks quickly.

° For women mostly. Set your inbox request filter settings to:

"Users I haven't added as Friend"

This will prevent flooding of your inbox.

Don't forget to follow those you might possibly wish to hear from. They will get notified of your follow and can follow you back, then you're considered friends.

° Last, don't be afraid to moderate your own posts.

It's your post! No one else's post! Delete comments and replies more than block them. You are limited to 500 blocks.

Blocking should be used if they are a frequent problem.

Personally I have yet to block anyone after being here over eight years.
