Right now be somebody safe who she can talk to and start getting her on board with the idea of an escape plan. She needs to get out of that house. However, she has to WANT to get out of the house. That means she lives before he kills her, rather than waits for a divorce to process.
It could mean a shelter, or if you have a couch or spare room, your couch or spare room. I would start looking at a lot of information on helping people in DV situations in your area. There are absolutely things that can be done and a lot of resources.

@CountScrofula I genuinely think she wants to. She is just trying to be financially independent enough. She has talked about divorce and moving out. Thanks for the advice, I feel like everyone and everything surrounding me is insane right now. Like society is collapsing and everyone is going downhill, mentally and financially. I'll do what I can right now for her but I don't think I want to offer a space in my home due to safety issues. ( I already have this islamic crime ring, that I stumbled across, stalking me, long story). I know she might back out of the divorce and moving out though. I'm going to check in with her more regularly and try to sway her to leave

@Catastrophe
uh username checks out.
If you have the emotional headspcae to do some research, find the numbers for shelters and other resources in the area so she can be armed with knowledge. I hope you're okay!!!

UPDATE: She is super busy working, going to school now. I haven't talked to her in a while but GOOD NEWS.... she actually told me she moved out and is in her new place TODAY! I'm so proud of her! She really is an angel, I always tell her that. The kindest woman, I'm so happy that she is now building a new life!

@Catastrophe That is good news ! Best wishes to her.
@bijouxbroussard Thank you, I am soooo happy! Finally something good is going my way!
@jeancolby It is! 🥳 tysm
If there's a doctor involved, have her see her doctor - and tell the doctor that she's living with domestic abuse and she wants it recorded on her medical record.
GP surgeries can often offer safe spaces to make calls to refuges and seek help, maybe they can refer her for help too... they can also help with keeping an eye on any ongoing abuse and note it in her records - which can help with an upcoming divorce and custody hearing,

She needs to show him the door.
@MoSmith She told me she is working on a divorce but I don't know if that will really happen.

@Catastrophe good! Get him out of her life. Women cannot put up with violence

Contact a local Women's Shelter and they will guide you.
I'm not kidding. Do it right now!

You can talk with her
Try to help her to decide
If she doesn’t decide she won’t leave

Just try to convince her NOT to get her boobs change and to leave her husband if the abuse continues ...
If she's that talented and pretty, she'll have no problem finding a good man

I CAME from an abusive marriage, and now I am finally out of it and free...AND at the very end of everything, when I was already divorced and left him for the SECOND time, I went to a women's domestic abuse shelter for help.
But it was not the first time women's domestic abuse shelters had reached out to me. It's just that I had to be READY for that, and I had to have enough confidence and self esteem to be able to throw off my shackles. I would suggest that your friend has to do the same.
It HAS to come from HER. What I suggest YOU could do is obtain some literature from her local domestic abuse shelter...and give it to her. And then YOU keep it for her after she has read it...because if her abuser sees it he might hurt her really badly.

@4meAndyou I'm so sorry you had to go through all that! That's horrible! I just got an update from her and she has moved out!!! 🥳 I am so proud of her. I just hope she is not still in touch with him.

In addition to womens shelters make police reports paper trails lead to action
Unfortunately not a hell of a lot you can do except encourage them to get help. Your reports aren’t likely to do much if the women aren’t willing to press charges. Just keep being supportive and perhaps research some local domestic violence organizations/resources that you can pass onto them to help plant the seed that help is available and they don’t have to continue living that way.
@OlderSometimesWiser Great advice, thank you! 🤗
@Catastrophe Keep us posted. I hate knowing that women are in these scary, abusive situations. Hopefully shining a light will help them make their way out of the darkness.
@OlderSometimesWiser Will do. She just looks like a sad person, it's heartbreaking. 💔

Very sorry to hear that, some good advice has already been given.

If the husband is beating her up , and you said she's beautiful and in the entertainment . The husband is trying knock her self esteem so then it won't be threat cause then he'd have full control over her if her self esteem is knocked .
It's called fucking jealousy my friend and a control freak .
I'm after dealing with this kind of shit for years with different people and if they get confronted they get odd , as in like it's your fault or else they deny it .
I should get a scholar degree in this type of behavior cause it happened so much to me and so many times .
Will I tell you the good news .
I walked away from it all .
You should help your friend or give her good advise even if it's harsh .

@riseofthemachine Who are you dealing with?
riseofthemachine · 41-45, M
@Catastrophe I'm after dealing with a lot people in general with something similar happened to me , through different experiences with different people .
All I can say to you about your friend if it don't stop it will get worse and she'd feel like a doormat if it continues and would need serious counseling afterwards from the trauma .
If you can do something, do it before it gets worse cause it will get worse for her I'm telling that .
I ended up on meds from it and the meds still didn't work . The trauma overtook the meds which cancelled out taking the meds cause the trauma is still there .
You seemed to be a good friend and good person to your friend . Do something before she gets a nervous breakdown cause that's what happened to me

@Catastrophe she'd end up turning all the trauma in on herself if it continues

My father won't allow me to have an education, a woman, or a good paying job. Nobody ever stepped in and helped me so I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to help her or what to do.

@Catastrophe Why do you believe this?
@FloorGenAdm Because it's true

Get her the contact info for local women's rescue so she can split or call someone.
These guys can threaten their lives and/or childrens lives. Protection orders are worthless. She'll need to leave in secrecy, probably.
