A Friend I Met Here "Broke Up With Me"
And she did it with a text. No phone call or chance to talk about it. Just messaged me and said good bye.
We met online here about 3 years ago. Exchanged numbers and became good friends. She lives across the country. Talked about meeting, but never really got around to it.
We were close. I helped her through some tough times.
She would say "I Love You" every time we ended a phone call. But it wasn't romantic. Although we both had deep feelings for each other. And talking to her was a daily thing. 4 or 5 phone calls a day.
And she just "broke up with me".
Granted, she just got into a new relationship. But she's developed relationships with men before, some serious, and always still looked to me for advice, companionship and as somebody to talk to.
Here's the thing. I worry about her. She has had mental issues in the past. And has gone through men rapidly. But maybe this guy's for real. I mean I hope so. I wish her nothing but happiness.
Just weird she couldn't call and let me know she's moving on over the phone.
I already miss her calls. Miss being needed perhaps.
Just doesn't seem right.
