Having a baby can really make you see who your real friends are

Shit, I’ve had at least two friends here I greatly valued, but ever since I’ve been pregnant, they’ve straight up ghosted me and have made it abundantly clear they don’t want to be friends anymore. I only hope this is an online thing and not an irl thing.

Once you become a mother you realize who your true friends are. 🤗
I am so sorry. They were not real friends.

I’ve experienced this so much it’s truly heartbreaking but does show who the real ones are 🫂 I’m here if you need to talk

@MommaBear I’m so sorry. I’m a first-timer and can only hope this hasn’t happened to you for every babe you’ve had. But if so. I am sorry. 😞

@Ducky it unfortunately has for me I don’t have many in person friends anymore I do make more friends as I go but really pregnancy and postpartum is the loneliest I’ve ever been.. I’ve been struggling so bad with prenatal depression from how isolating and lonely it is but that’s okay because I have cowboy and a few friends on here.. I truly hope it’s not like that all the time for you 🫂

Painful truth, I've been though this myself and its been more then once. Kids, political, religious and people you talk to.

Some people can be really petty

@HumanEarth I try to remain as neutral as I can. As far as I’m concerned: me having is my l my offense. But if they’d like to call me out on a time they felt disrespected by me without my being aware of so (which has hasn’t before), I wish they told me first.

I really can't understand why someone would ditch a woman for having a baby. It's not like they're going to be on the hook to help out financially or the like. It costs nothing to be a supportive ear and voice. The return is the satisfaction, joy even, of helping out.

It hurts my feelings. But maybe it’s on me, especially when such individuals are being great fakers.

@Ducky strike that, is it on me fool me once: shame on you. Fool me twice: shame on me.
