Whenever I'm tipsy, bf knows I'll be less shy
So he always puts me on the phone with his best friend. 🤦🏻♀️ The friend and I will chat for just a couple of minutes, then right as we start to have the beginning of a deeper conversation, my bf jumps back in and takes us back to the light, silly conversation. Lol
Not sure why he does that. I think his ADHD impulsivity steps in and doesn't allow for him to focus long enough on deeper topics in a group setting. Me and the friend just laugh it off, but sometimes the friend will be like, "[my bf's name], I need you to take it down a notch, buddy" and that cracks me tf up because I've NEVER heard anyone talk to my bf like that!! And my bf will just be like "Sorry, go ahead, go ahead". 🤭
You can tell they've been friends since middle school. They played football together and remained friends even through college and adulthood. Both have daughters a couple of years apart. Mostly when they chat, they're just reminiscing about old days, but it's so funny to me when the friend basically tells my bf to calm down. 🤣 It's like he has the privilege of being able to say to my bf what I WANT to say sometimes but don't have the nerve. 🙈
