I Am No Longer Friends With My Best Friend

@Coralmist Oh I still see her, and she's just indifferent to me. Not disparaging, not friendly, just not interested.

It's breaking my heart over & over.

Did you both have a disagreement about something? Is this the woman who moved out?@firefall

@Coralmist This is one of the two, yes. We ... well, one of Andrea's guinea pigs died at the end of March, and when discussing dealing with the body (without Andrea there), I made some remark about it not personally affecting me much (because she kept it in her room & I'd hardly ever even seen it). Terri took HUGE exception to this and was furious at me for a month, during which time she & Andrea started looking for a new place to live.

When they finally moved out, she said she'd realised she had overreacted because she was grief-stricken at the death. Then she said she needed some space before resuming any contact. That was ... just about 2 months ago, start of May.

I keep feeling I've done something to alienate her, and she wont tell me.

I believe that was overreacting....(Terri). I can see how it wouldn’t truly have a lot of bearing in your life, because if she never brought it out and kept it in her room, the animal wasn’t necessarily a huge part of EVERYONES life. If she felt not ok with what you said, that’s her right , but to get REALLY mad over it, or move out? That’s a bit far to me. I’m sure she will contact or talk again, I think she’s just really sad over the pet still. You were a great friend to her, and hopefully she’ll realize that🌼

@Coralmist I truly hope she will, but I have little faith in that after this length of time. Of course, being this depressed, I'm very pessimistic
