I Am Losing My Best Friend

We've grown apart she knows it.. I know it ..but I don't want it to be over we've been best friends for 10 years . What do you say to your best friend when they say .."maybe we shouldn't be friends anymore". She says we don't make each other happy anymore ..maybe she's right but i don't want to end our friendship.

I understand you're sad that you grew apart from your friend. People change as they grow up, it's just that simple. We change significantly around your age, learning who we are as adults. We gradually drift apart from our childhood friends. It doesn't mean you have to completely sever ties with them. You two can still connect periodically. Good luck to you, ExistentialDrifter

Maybe you two need some time apart to appreciate the relationship you have. With my best friend and I, our relationship has a lot of ups, downs, and breaks between the time we spend with one another. It helps give me the alone time I need and also gives me time to miss and appreciate my best friend. You may just need a break from each other to sort yourselves out and then come back together.

If he or she is important to you talk to them

It happens... We just grow apart from people. To try to rekindle anything is as false as trying to inject love back into a failing marriage. Best just to move on...
I feel like plant that is loosing leaves ..i'm growing out of the leaves that supported me along the way.
We've already talked but I'm afraid it's not enough ..have you had a similar experience?
@ stereoguy .I guess these things just happen as you develop as a person.
Thanks guys it's good hearing from other points of view 😶

It has to be two way. What made her end your friendship?
