Would you consider this the truth

I got told I was self centered by someone who has known me a week . Would you take that as the truth or not listen because they barely know you ?

I guess I'd ask them why they think so. It's entirely possible they've taken something you said incorrectly because they don't know you. Either way, you might learn something about how are being perceived.
