Have you found it difficult to have normal conversations with people on this site?

that has been very common here. i dont talk to many in PM.. if you are a girl you get swarmed with creepy men either looking for sex chats or pics. ive found it really hard finding genuine people on the site. this was use to be a Q and A site called Experience Project. it kind of got closed down because of the amount of perversion on it. too many pedos and such and it seems like this site is just as bad. theres been a few people i use to talk to that left. its kind of a toxic site with all those kinds of people on it.

You just have to find the right people. There are people on here that enjoy having "normal" conversations.

It is difficult but you could find people to have normal conversations. Most importantly figure out people by their posts and comments and then try to jump into having conversations. That would also give you a general idea about some of the aspects of how that person thinks. Find the people that you might find interesting to talk to and try it. Risk is always there but isn't it there in real life too. lol. Otherwise why would people waste their time here if they have so many good friends to talk to in real life.

You will get used to it and you will learn to ignore.

There are many people here using SW for different reasons. Patience will pay off but you will need to put up with a lot of what you don't like. It's like a test in tolerance which I understand is even more difficult for women on SW for obvious reasons. Good luck ...:-)

A good sign of an abnormal conversation is when someone PM's you out of the blue

There are those you can have normal conversations with - but in my case I knew all but one of them on relate to that first.

The messages stop after awhile. I used to get a lot and now... nothing. I guess at 21 I'm too old to hit on. A 17 year old is more appealing.

Wait a bit longer, ignore or block anyone who isn't looking for what you're looking for, pretty simple.you don't have to like everyone.

Normal conversations are rare, but make the place worthwhile. I have some great friends here I'd have never encountered any other way.

There are a lot of false starts though. Don't be discouraged by all the pervs.
