Before sending someone a PM, do you take the time to read their profile?

I think it's very telling when someone says they'd like to get to me, but it's clear that they didn't even read my profile

It would be so helpful if people did. It would probably stop alot of uncomfortable messages. Like is it really acceptable to send someone something sexual not even say hi. Plus im Asexual and say so on my profile in hopes to deter people froms sending that stuff
