My dad was a grad student while i was growing up (human and child psychology) he was also a school administrater in a neighboring school district (not at the district i attended). i learned lots of neat tricks to stay positive.
My mother was a college professor at a college nearby. She was also a grad student prior to that in social work gender studies and community building. She had neat tricks too (moreso community based and gender equality and sociology).
Both mom and dad taught me so much!
The main ones; My favorite, is smile constantly, it makes your brain produce endorphines making you happy. Learn and tell jokes; laughter releases endorphines making you happy and excersize regularly; not necessarily to excess, it releases endorphines making you happy. I would run at every chance smile constantly eat food i loved, and tell jokes. It resulted in popularity and positive expectation outcome.
These strategies attract people to you because you are smiling, they want to hear your jokes, and you are in good physical shape. It puts your peers parents at ease bc your grades are high, it improves self esteem for those reasons too, and builds confidence; which attracts opportunities.
It takes time, but just grin until you are happy it will attract good things and then you will have reason to smile naturally; making you happy. Do good things smile and good things will come to you!
Also always double check your work. People will notice, it improves memory and attracts praise making you smile and producing endorphines.
Always use positive language.
Strategies for success! Good luck.
