I’m not a psychiatrist, but I seriously doubt that some activity can cause a psychiatric/medical condition like that.

@RedBaron It can be a triggering factor if you already have a predisposition. My friend was diagnosed after some dabbling with a religious cult. She says it messed her mind up more than anything else. She's fine now though. It was one of those events where some moron screams some religious BS at their victims until those more impressionable fall down and get something like an epileptic seizure and they think they were connected with some higher spiritual entities. Wild shit.

@CrazyMusicLover Well there is the being slain in the spirit that is the real deal of being faint like and fall to the floor, peacefully. It is a real experience in the Holy Spirit, sometimes leading to stigmata which is the wounds of Christ in both hands and feet and side of a follower of Christ! Which the bible says we are crucified with Christ, and Christ lives through us possibly healing those around us. Not us healing people but Christ healing those people....It's AMAZING not foolish! And yes some people fake it, but when it's real you know!

@CrazyMusicLover Then why do it?

The problem with that is, it's hard to tell what the demons are making you see and what your mental illness is making you see. You can't trust what any of your voices say, so it's best to dismiss all of it.
