Is it possible to have a meaningful, purposeful, and fulfilling life without a reciprocal emotional connection with anyone?

WHAT IF... you have zero friends... no one seems to like you... that weighs on your mind (for some reason)... you do function in society and you are not a hermit... but you just can't emotionally connect with anyone.

It's only possible if that's the type of life you want for yourself.

Yeah but... I want to meaningfully connect with others, but it just doesn't seem to work... not for me... I mean hypothetically speaking. I mean, this isn't (technically) about me... exactly (I mean mostly).

Yes, I understand that. If so, then perhaps you should figure out a way to connect with other people. I struggled with it too and got past it. It is possible mark.

Yeah, but how... how do I get past it. How do I do it?

Being on sites like this helped me move past it. I try to treat people here just like I treat people irl...I be myself and I take the friendships I get here seriously. It's allowed me to try meeting people irl and it oddly became easier to meet new people.

Buuuuuut a lot of people aren't willing to do that eh? If so then it's probably a lost cause.

Thanks Ballisticboy... I think I get it. This is almost like a place to practice - not in a casual "nothing matters" way, but as a way to learn how to act and react irl. I am going to try. I hope to meet you one day.
