So awkward when someone calls me their friend when they're not mine 😬

I mean, they're not my enemy either, but you know... We're not friends! Acquaintances, if anything. But barely that when we don't ever chat and rarely even converse through comments. I could see if we had each other added, but we don't. They may have me added, but I'm not really interested in adding them back. Nothing personal, of course, it's only because we don't connect very well. 🤷‍♀️

What makes it so awkward is I don't know how to say any of that without coming off like a jerk. 😥 Shit, I'm sure I could explain it as nicely as you possibly could and they'd still be hurt. Which I wouldn't understand either when, again, we rarely interact at all. Like, why would that hurt your feelings when we're so obviously not friends? And then that'd make me feel like an even bigger jerk... 😓

It's a no-win situation. 😔
