I’ll be seeing my assistant this weekend (hopefully)
Backstory, because I can’t be arsed to explain it:

After some careful consideration, I have decided to invite my assistant from work, Bryanna, and her girlfriend to my sister’s place over the weekend. I’ve thought about it all - that our relationship will no longer be strictly professional. She’s going to meet my wife, my sister and her family and friends, as well as well our parents; all of whom hang out at my sister’s pad over the weekend.
I’ve considered everything and I’ve decided that I’m okay with this. Bryanna is not going to be my assistant anymore, she’s going to be a family friend, pretty much. That will probably be a bit of an adjustment for both of us, but I personally think it can work. I went and gave her a whole spiel when I was talking to her about it, lol.
I mentioned how I was uncomfortable before with us even texting outside of work, but things have changed and I’m comfortable enough to invite her further into my life and like her enough to where I can’t stand to see her and her girl and doggo being stuck at home in this desert heat. She seemed pretty surprised, but also very flattered and maybe a bit shy, lol. She didn’t even seem sure if they’d make it.
But I told her my sister’s okay with them coming, gave her the address and the hours in which my sis allows guests to be there, so she has the information. We’ll just see if she decides to show up. I’m thinking she too is considering if she truly wants to break down the professional barrier between us and get more personal. Which is totally fair. It’s basically a commitment, lol.
But I hope I see her! My sister’s met Bryanna a few times and likes her already. And she’s just a really sweet lady. I know the rest of my fam and other regulars who go to my sister’s are going to like her too. Hopefully over the weekend. I’ll be talking about how her and her gf made it and how we’re all having a fun time together, lol.
And that I’m not quickly regretting it. Not that I think I will, of course. 😅
