A friend wants to buy your art

I have sold a painting to a friend for almost half the price. Now another one asks for another piece. It's very troubling. I don't feel okay selling my work for so little. At the same time I don't know why but I don't feel good with the idea of gifting my work either. I don't know how to handle it..

My boss says if u want quality u pay for it and that's how his friends pay as well. U need to do the same. Give discounts on two or more sales

It's like if I owned a bar. If I dgave all drinks half price to people I know I'd go out of business
