My sister was a spoiled brat when she was little, she always had to have the biggest piece of pie or cake and she always got her way. She should have been taught that it wasn't always about her and put in her place but they continued to let her manipulate and get her way. Now she's a narcissist.
Self centered people might have grown up having all their needs met without any arguments from others. Or it could be a personality trait, very focused on themselves. It could be they put on false airs with others to avoid getting hurt. They could have suffered a big loss. There is always the possibility they believe the world owes them everything and not the other way around. They come across as people who are arrogant, self absorbed and only concerned with what they want.

It find it funny how ppl see It as a bad thing. It's so hard to focus when you're always focused on what other ppl think rather than coming from yourself. I suppose only with experience one can witness the benefits of this.
