Due to cultural expectations (e.g. women should desire and arguably be partially defined by the pursuit of motherhood)...at least in the western context. @HeteroDox

@AnonymouslyYours actually its been my observation that western ontexts are more accepting of the decision not to follow domestic convention - if anything i see (and have been criticized) by more traditional eastern cultures, particularly as it applies to theistic influenced societies.
