Do you find it hard to care about other people?

I'm a severe empath. It's hard to tell if my emotions and personality traits are my own...rather, often it feels as though I care about too many people and their emotions TOO MUCH...I feel their pain ten times harder. Or at least I think i do...i dunno.

I do. I feel a void where I understand others have feelings here. My experiences may have contributed to this.

In the moment, yes. Generally, no. I've been through a lot, so I can relate to a lot of things, which makes it easier to care about other people. Really depends on my current mental state, though. It's hard to care about others when you're drowning in the ocean, right. So first step is finding a nice island.
