Most memorable was when we moved into a new neighbourhood. Dear Wife was diagnosed with cancer just after we had broken up the old concrete driveway. Our time was spent in the hospital rather than cleaning up the yard. I came home one day to find a bobcat with a large dumptruck loading the broken concrete and hauling it away. I spoke to the driver but he didn't know anything beyond his company told him to come here and do that. The next day I came home to a huge pile of black dirt being spread where the old driveway had been and another man putting in new sidewalks. Again no one knew who ordered it. Dear Wife went through her chemo and radiation and was declared cancer non recurrent. A neighbour we had never met knocked on our door to find out how things were progressing. We mentioned that someone had done all that work and we didn't know who. The neighbour hemmed for a bit then let it know that the neighbours had decided to give us a house warming. We have no idea how much money they spent on the time and equipment to finish removing the old driveway.

Yeah. This woman named Laura that I go to school with. She was somewhere in her mid-late thirties and approached me while I was crying in front of the library. She kind of told me about her life and how she's returning to school for a third time to try and get her BA after she had her fourth kid. Anyways, but she pretty much comforted me and made me feel like I would definitely be successful in life. Imma think about her when I get into med school for sure.

That was very nice of him, and very touching.
I was unaware that my purse (wallet) had fallen out of my jacket pocket while out. I received a phone call from this perfect stranger, I still had no idea it had gone, to say he had it but had no transport to return it. He had checked the telephone directory and phoned a few people (I have a fairly common surname lol) before he located me. I was SO grateful, as it had all my cards etc. and cash in it, that I bought him a carton of beer.

Yes, a boy named Matt that sat next to me in Gothic and Horror Lit. in junior year of high school became friends with me and introduced me to his best friend Sophie. Over a year later, she’s the best best friend I’ve ever had and so is Matt. I would be completely alone and friendless if Matt hadn’t done that.

not to me specifically, but last winter my mom was driving my daughter home and her car slid on some black ice into a ditch. someone who saw the accident called for help and let my mom and daughter stay warm in his car while my mom's car was towed out. also gave me a call to tell me what happened and waited until i came to pick them up.

Yep. One time we were buying a popcorn and we got short on cash so this American guy next to us offered to pay for the third popcorn for us. Lol

Each time I've been to Europe I've been amazed at how eager everyone is to help me find where I'm going.
