Do you think that people who are normally quite emotional about things are able to think properly or make good decisions?

Emotion doesn't dictate how smart you are.

@Pitchblue That is quite true. Do you believe that the best line of thought and decision making is reached while struggling with emotions that may cloud intelligence?
@4meAndyou Oh no, I have experience with emotions that become out of control. It's a chemical imbalance in my case.

@Pitchblue I think that emotion out of control affects decision making, causing people to make poor or even silly choices in life.

Women experience hormonal imbalances every single month, so I can say I have first hand experience with emotion that goes out of control as well. I still remember sitting there, crying, saying to the ex, "I don't know what is the MATTER with me. I'm not LIKE this!" And he would ask me if my period was due. Duh!!! That happened more often than I care to remember.

That being said, whenever I was in the grip of strong emotion, I knew, absolutely, that it would be a mistake to make any major life decisions.
