Yes. In fact only when we get older we realise what friendship and company is all about. During the youth we are flooded with company, a bunch of mavericks with no common goal and huge amount of time at disposal and to kill... and as we grow old we see that each getting sucked into their profession and family, with no time to spare.

Eh, I feel like it ebbs and flows, and relocation/s haven’t helped. I’ll get adopted into another group of people in the future, some of them will become friends, rinse and repeat next time I guess.

It’s a fact. 10 longtime friends have passed away since 2000, mostly in their 40s and 50s. When you’re talking about death, that’s relatively young. 😞
