When you text someone a question or a statement and no reply

How do you take it ?

I try very hard not to take it personally, which I'm not always successful. But speaking for myself, I sometimes look at a message, no time to respond or wrong timing (for example if I am visiting with people, it would be rude to answer the text right away), but later, when I have time to respond, I forget I have a message or messages to answer, then days fly by. Give it time... If still no answer within a week, then presume they don't want to bother answering. I have an acquaintance of mine who reads my messages, but since she is not a texter, she does reply to me when she sees me. We see each other regularly so it's do-able. But I guess if my question is pressing, then I would take her silence differently and most likely, personally.

@thinkbigaboutlife there have been a few pressing , hence the reason why I even asked this question . I didn’t go into details .
when was the question sent?
ok, you also give no response, how ironic, haha! So I will continue my response anyway: it's the weekend. I know many people who are so busy during weekends that they don't answer texts until Monday... Could be that too?

@thinkbigaboutlife yesterday . Oh if it’s not to their liking , I’m called complicated . Meaning if they don’t want to answer or if u simply are curious about something - typically no answer or get told I’m complicated

must be old fashioned or age

@thinkbigaboutlife did u not see my response ?
It came later. Now I see it. I know some people, it doesn't bother them to get 0 answers or to not answer people, but for me, it bothers me, even if I will try to not show it. I've always been of this philosophy that any letter, text, etc, should be answered, as it shows good manners. Unless of course it is a rude text, or someone harrassing me when I have clearly asked to stop writing/texting.
