If you developed strong feelings for a friend and they didn't feel the same way, would you stop being friends with them?

No. But had someone ghost me once after being friends for 5 years. cause I caught feelings around year 2 and she didn't wanna change things and once I moved on she got jealous cause she caught feelings but I was involved when she finally came around. She literally just stopped talking to me and dissappeared

I was sort of in that situation with a buddy, but he made things complicated

No. Everyone shows their true colours and repulses me eventually
Romantic feelings ? No, assuming I valued their friendship, I’d just have to quash the romantic feelings until they subsided.

Nope, honestly I'd try to convince them to be with me

I would think it would create, for the person with those strong feelings, a feeling of rejection. Rejection is not easy to ignore, so it might make it difficult to continue a close friendship. You might, to protect yourself and your feelings, have to at least distance yourself for a time.
They should be the one to walk away and keep the distance. If not. They secretly liking it. Using it to satisfy their false ego. It never helps to be around under such circumstances.and who ever want the closer, in what ever name is goof

I have before because then it feels too awkward even talking to them anymore. Needless to say, I've been rejected many, many times. I no longer develop feelings for women anymore than as friends because of how much I've been rejected.

I have before because of not seeing a point of hanging out with them anymore. I don't see the point in having more friends. I'm fine with the few I have currently.

Yeah it's the only way, create distance from that person, maybe absence will make they're heart grow stronger

No. I wouldn't. To me their friendship is more important than my own, feelings

No, I would respect their feelings and control mine.
