Very happy with my lot

Early 2025, I found myself lurking on an SW profile. The person in question had been replying to some SW posts and I was very taken, not by what she was saying but how she was saying things. Even though the original posts were clearly either attention seeking or a bit of an idiot (in my opinion of course), she was so nice in everything she said. I'm not a troll, don't like them at all. If I don't like a post and have no real opinion on it, I'll move on. She was the complete opposite in that she was offering positivity and niceness with what she was saying. That's very rare these days.

After a couple of weeks of lurking, I sent her a message. She wouldn't reply to me. She'd be like a lot of the others I'd tried to speak to on here who are up themselves and had ignored me. But, I wanted her to know that someone appreciated the fact that she was being nice to others in her replies and her efforts were not for nought.

To my surprise, she responded - and she was nice - and she could string a sentence together instead of giving one word answers - and she was intelligent - and we struck up a friendship which has lasted to this day.

We generally speak to each other more than once a day and I can honestly say that she's the main reason for me coming back here as often as I do. I think she's absolutely lovely and I am so happy to have her in my life.
