if a friend was always late meeting you, what would you do?

I have this one friend who is late every single time we meet.

She said she'll meet by 8pm tonight. The time ticked to 20:20 and I texted 'where are you? you said you left your house so you should be here by now'. She replied that she's on the way and is 5 minutes away. Turns out she hadn't even left. She turned up at nearly 9pm.

She laughs it off every time and no matter how many times I bring up that it's 1) rude and 2) really god damn fucking rude and inconsiderate of my time, she continues to laugh it off.

bish. Might cut her off.

I have one friend like that who I go to the movies with
We just tell him the movie starts earlier than it does

@JRVanguard I bet the one time I do this she’ll turn up early ffs
JRVanguard · 26-30, M
@LooseyGoosey That’s when you hide in the bathroom and sneak away and don’t come back until when she would usually arrive so they now how it feels

you might try setting the meeting for 8 and then showing up at 9

I agree about time - my time is valuable to me.

she may very well be "time dyslexic" and not be able to be on time - if that's the worst part of your friendship then maybe you can build in some time before you show up - and then you won't have to wait as long

@Pretzel if I do that it’ll be the one time she’s early and I’ll feel bad. I bet lol

@LooseyGoosey ha!
just laugh and say you lost track of time :)

You don't have to wait. You can just leave. Not that big of a deal . If it's a good friend I'd put up with it. I'm sure people has to put up with some stuff of mine they don't like.
Let it go. There are bigger more important things to fight for

Some people are like that and nothing seems to ever change them... You either live with it, change the meeting time 30 minutes before you intend to be there or move on...
