What should you do when it looks like a close friend of many years, who you love, doesn't really feel the same way about you and abandons you?

She never told me that she loved me unless I said it first. I really meant it. We were close and were there for each other. Then when I started living in the next state for most of the time, she had less and less time for me when I would come back to town to tend to my empty house. I would call and say I will be there next week and she would always have work that she needed to do or some other plans. I am certain that her boyfriend has something to do with it - never met him but I know he does not like her having a male friend like me.
I always knew that day would come when I couldn't be as close to her once she got a serious boyfriend - I didn't know that she would completely abandon me though. She was the best friend that I had.
