I started losing the fun playing with my friends
Basically, we play Valorant, and to be honest, I suck at it. Before, we used to play unrated and it was actually fun. Win or lose, it didn’t matter, we were just enjoying the game.
Then they suddenly had the idea to boost my rank. I don’t even care about rank, I’m really just playing to chill, but whatever, we tried it. We started playing competitive, and as expected, I still sucked. I even tried to compensate by watching YouTube videos, lineups, tips, and stuff, but it didn’t really help much, especially my aim.
Most of the time I’m bot fragging, which I already expect. The problem is every game they flame me for every mistake: “do this, do that, why did you do this, why did you do that.” And yeah, sometimes I really do suck. They also tell me I should grind ranked to catch up to them, even though I’m really just playing to relax and enjoy.
Now it doesn’t even feel fun anymore.
